A couple nights ago I woke in the night with this title…wondering over the past few hours in particular if it might be a good title for our next book. The one thing we know for sure, each and every one of us walking the face of this planet today can be at that ‘border’ and cross it at any second. There is no guarantee of tomorrow or 10 minutes from now. We found out in short order with Rick that it was a serious ‘moment’ in time, when the doctors didn’t think he had a chance and his life was in the balance on that border.
Rick was ready to meet Jesus. I would have been very sad to have him cross that border, but God spared him the journey at this time. I think and pray daily for the Christians in the middle east and other countries who are losing not only their homes and jobs, but their heads, their children. God have mercy on their suffering and let them cross the border into Your presence that they may experience the joy, comfort, peace and sanctuary they have seldom seen in their lifetime.
Our goal is to cross the ‘eternal border’ into heaven and not hell. How do we come to the end of days at the right ‘border’? Romans 10:9 …. if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
