New discipline for Lent

We often listen to audio files by Fr. Robert Barron, who is by the way, one of the most reasonable defenders of the faith, in my opinion.  I have posted this ‘site’ below for my ‘blog’ today, as it was an eye opener for the reality of our life in Christ, what it should be on a daily basis.

I kinda’ know this, but giving me a picture of G.K. Chesterton and then a soliloquy, caught my attention and taught me something significant about my own faith.  Click on and read it for a blessed Wednesday. We will be adding Fr. Barron’s ‘blog’ to our daily readings during Lent.  We find that leaving off something like ‘chocolate’ or ‘ice cream’ or ‘TV’ is not difficult to do, but adding something makes us think and work at it. The ‘work’ is always a blessing and strengthens our faith.  Which, by the way, is one of the points, the other being preparation for the Easter season, the Crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection of our Lord!
