Life’s little analogies…

Today is a ‘purge and prune’ day. There are lots of little things we don’t need around here and I’m filling a laundry basket for the Salvation Army. (Who needs 5 rulers? an extra footstool and cutting board hanging in a closet?) Also, all the plants are growing in the sunshine. TWO pineapples showing their fruit already. Pruning all the flowers today and the fruit trees. They will look butchered for a week or two, but this week will bring them on fast!
The practical things of this life always, and I do mean ALWAYS bring on ‘spiritual’ analogy for me. Getting rid of the things in my life that are out-of-control of the Holy Spirit, is a necessity. That purging must be a constantly vigil activity. Cutting back on excess activity, pruning my commitments helps to keep my focus on ‘listening’ to what the Lord is speaking in every moment.
3 John 1:2 Dear friend(s), I pray that you are doing well in every way and that you are healthy, just as your soul is healthy.
