I’ve been to several church conventions over the years in two different denominations, but there is one thing they had in common, besides faith. I met old friends and made new ones.
God has a purpose for everyone. When we come in contact with others who serve the Lord with all their heart, mind, and body, we are meeting and greeting the ‘CHURCH’ that God intends us to be. We find those who need our prayer and support, and we see how God is moving in their lives and ours.
It is tiring, because of the travel and long hours, but the benefit to me has always been the fellowship, not the business of the ‘convening’.
I was able to make 4 new friends and help a couple with situations that would be of mutual benefit. God has a purpose in everything we do, if we are ‘listening’ and obeying. We are blessed to be God’s instrument wherever we go and make a difference in the Kingdom by His power in us and through us as we ‘listen’, obey, fellowship and pray!
