Truth or Dare, is a game requiring at least three players. Players are given the choice between answering a question truthfully, or performing a “dare”, both of which are set by the other players. There are 3 players in this ‘game’ today. The “TRUTH”, me and you.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes to the Father, but by Me.
Hebrews 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by them that heard Him?
Will we ignore the “Truth” and take a dare? Do we dare to ignore the “Truth?”
The only way to God, is through Jesus Christ alone and His sacrifice on the Cross. We are a ways off from Easter, but the time of Advent is on us now and we haven’t even had Thanksgiving holidays. I don’t mind so much the pushing ahead of the coming event, except for the commercialism. I do love Christmas. Without Christmas there would be no Cross. Without the Cross there would be no hope of “so great a salvation.”
Life is not a “game” and eternal life is our goal. Let us meet with “Truth” today and seal our eternal salvation. We must continue to pursue our relationship with our maker and “Listen to His Son.”
