Sunday School INSURANCE…

This morning we looked at Psalm 18:30-42.  We have one more week in this Psalm, then I get a break from teaching until next year, which by the way is only 5 weeks away….how did that happen?

Back to the lesson. I enjoyed the lesson again, as it refreshes the memory and instills a greater faith.  God is PERFECT and TRUE.  He shields us, He is the ‘refuge’, the ‘rock’ who makes us safe and steady. He equips us with strength and helps us to walk blameless before Him. He keeps us from stumbling and lifts us up higher, above the turmoil. No matter the circumstances He holds us in the palm of His hand.  He trains us, by His Word, to do battle against the world, the devil and even our own fleshly nature. [Ephesians 6:10-20]. God supports us and is gentle and kind. He guides our steps.

[Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, I will counsel you with my eye upon you.] He lights our way one step at a time, [Psalm 119:105] and we do not slip, but should we fall, [Psalm 27:34] He will lift us up again.

God teaches us something from His Word every time, yes I mean EVERY time we read it, IF we are attentive, He will give us something to chew on for the whole day, but we must be ‘listening’ with our spiritual ears.  The little small whisper that sounds like it’s just behind us a bit.

Isaiah 30:21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

I don’t make this stuff up…it is God’s Word, and it is for us this day.  We have the best INSURANCE and ASSURANCE policy in all of creation. No one can legislate it, no one can steal it, and we are the only ones who can walk away from it.  Not smart!
