This morning as Rick and I did devotions we ran into ‘SYNCRETISM’. (the amalgamation or attempted amalgamation of different religions, cultures, or schools of thought.) The computer doesn’t recognize the word or like it much, but I find the label is not well received even in this day. The people all those 1000’s of years ago, bore the same sin marks we do today.
The Scripture was from 2 Kings 17:27 through the end of the chapter. We cannot hold anything in this life equal or even close to the same as our worship and consideration of our relationship with God the Father, Jesus the Son and The Holy Spirit. The people were worshiping God and their hand made gods. Only God is worthy of our worship.
Nothing and no one can save but Jesus. All else will burn in the end. What are we going to offer when we stand before our Maker? Wood, hay, straw or pure gold, the holy and submitted life in Christ?
