Sunday is my favorite day. All the other days are taken up with stuff I ‘have’ to do, places I ‘have’ to go. Although interacting with people all week long is a good thing, Sunday takes the cake for me. It’s like having a ‘good’ family reunion once a week. All those whose lives have become my spiritual family are there in church. We do come to worship and we do worship, but there is also fellowship. We can take time with one another before and after services. Our church serves breakfast after the early service and through the second until 10 minutes into the Sunday School hour, so no one need miss the worship, but there is plenty of time to get caught up and share some time. We have a bunch called the ‘lunch bunch’ that go every Sunday somewhere together as ‘family’. We don’t get to do that often because of other obligations, but today although we had a meeting after church of 20 or so people, we had sweet fellowship during the meal and before and after.
I love this place of refuge and pray God’s continued blessing on these my brothers and sisters in the Lord.
